Sisterspeaks Global is a female-centered events curator for women to connect, find a voice to thrive. Heels4Pads foundation raises awareness of period poverty using the power of digital media and a novel trade exchange to fundraise for menstrual pads that benefit girls and women in resource-constrained communities in Kenya.

What was your previous (or current other) career, training or background?

As a tech-savvy project coordinator with Business and ICT training, I worked in telecommunications and hospitality for 7 years as well as in leadership, strategy and innovation certification. Currently I am a social entrepreneur and a digital innovation enthusiast and big on women’s empowerment.

What change are you seeking to create through this initiative?

My mission is to create opportunities and spaces in digital entrepreneurship for women, as their potential is under-exploited due to cultural gender biases, unequal access to funding and lack of representation. I am also deeply committed to ending period poverty. I aspire to become a force of social entrepreneurship in Kenya and Africa.

What does the concept of ‘the greater good’ mean to you?

Serving the needs of the community and the public as a leader by exerting change and influence to the betterment of their lives by fostering a thriving and resilient future for everyone.
